If I'm eating banana bread and a piece falls on the floor, but it bounces and I catch it on the top of my foot on the rebound completely by accident, it counts as never having been on the floor at all. Especially since it's banana bread.

Er, well, I washed my feet last night. That's a lot more recently than the kitchen floor's been mopped.

If things aren't on the floor for over seven seconds they don't count as having been on the floor yes. Also dude, you did crazy circus skills with banana bread, it could be a whole new career:)

Seven-second rule? I always thought it was a five-second rule.

My kitchen floor currently has a minus-one-second rule, meaning that if food goes within the vicinity of the floor it is probably not fit to eat.

I never adhere to a five second rule, I probably don't adhere to a seven second rule very much, mostly I think the floor is fair enough. It's not that I clean floors all that often, just that I think if you can rub most of the dirt off then it'll be fine after a couple of seconds.

If it doesn't pick up hair (either the human or feline variety) off of the floor then it is a go. Feet are like any other body part, so no issues there either. enjoy your footy banana bread with piece of mind.
