Egg nog is not vegan. ^^;; I wonder if it's a northern hemisphere phenomenon. It's sort of a drinkable custard, with eggs, milk, cream and sugar all whipped together, and usually some spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves. Some recipes leave the eggs raw and others have you cook the mixture and then chill it. It's also traditional for non-teetotaling grownups to add rum, brandy, or whiskey.
