Monty doesn't care much for the human habit of sitting on a chair staring at a box of lights. When he's not sleeping, he likes to be out and doing, smelling the fresh air - so he loves it when I come and share the outdoors with him. He never lets me feel lonely while I'm picking up fallen sticks or weeding or shovelling or inspecting my plants; he makes sure to "supervise" whenever I'm out there. He's not really a lap cat in the house, but he's very affectionate outside and rubs all around me while I'm working!
Oh yes, Geoffrey is a city boy who prefers to stay inside most of the time, and he does follow me around. If I'm tidying up and carrying things from one room to another, he has to come with me in case I do anything exciting while I'm out of his sight.
