Two out of my three are rescues from the Lonely Miaow, but the had good foster homes before I got them. My first two were personal rescues (one hungry and abused kitten, one sick kitten from a bankrupt pet shop which was going to kill her) and they were the most loving cats I've known--and my existing ones are sweeties.
