For future reference: I bought blackcurrant-flavoured cordial because I like the colour and then I drank a bit of it and realised that what I really wanted was lemon or lime. This is not the first time this has happened. Now I have a whole bottle of blackcurrant to use up before I can replace it, and it's not as fun to drink as good old lemon barley water and is much riskier to spill.

Cause of this pattern of foolishness: I want to try everything. I don't like buying the same thing twice in a row, it feels like I could be missing out on discovering something I like even better. I am attracted to bright colours, and have a poor memory.

Conclusion: I need to work hard on remembering my actual preferences when trying to make a decision. Possibly about more things than just flavours of cordial.
