The 2nd film is my least favourite; it's mean-spirited with what they did to Marty's mother. However the whole "this isn't the future they predicted" thing is a fallacy: the Biff-created future we were shown was destroyed by fixing up the past.

I still love, love, love the 1st one and the 3rd comes second because steam-punk!
