NaArMaMo: art for the first week.

Here's what I've done so far!

I started off badly with only a doodle done in Harmony.

On the second day I drew a pony!

On the third day I took some photos of next door's chooks when they came to visit. (If anyone knows what mysterious disease my apple tree is suffering from, let me know! I only spotted it a few days ago.)

On Day 4 I went for a walk in the park after it had rained, and took a macro photo of raindrops on clover.

Day 5 wasn't so good and I had been watching Olympic gymnasts flying through the air so I drew a leaping figure in ink.

Day 6 is the one I'm most proud of. I didn't have any inspiration so oh well, horse again -- and it came out great.

On Day 7 the cold I caught on the weekend got to the rotten-feeling stage. I didn't draw. Today I haven't done any art either; I'm taking the opportunity to wallow in snotty misery and spend the day on the couch watching back-to-back episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion, which is my first foray into anime series and is FABULOUS. It's obviously made by and for people who love Thunderbirds, with the pilots getting loaded into their mecha by tube just like TB2 and entire skyscrapers retracting underground when the enemy attacks just like in Stingray. In an improvement from the Supermarionation shows, the characters have interactions and important emotions. And since I've coped with Captain Scarlet's inconclusive clip-show and it-was-all-a-dream final episodes, the (trope-namer) Gainax ending isn't going to worry me. Yaaaay, fun new show to watch!
